Awareness-Raising Performances Since 1985

The Marti Stevens Interactive Improvisational Theater is a non-profit organization whose roots lie in literacy awareness. Since 1985 MSIIT has written and performed conversation-starting scenarios set in a wide range of environments.

In addition to the literacy-focused scenarios, we have designed and performed scenarios on

  • domestic violence
  • sexual harassment
  • neighborhood conflict
  • diversity
  • workplace violence
  • special services in the schools
  • customer service
  • and more

MSIIT works with you to determine staff training and organizational needs and develop a series of scenarios to address those needs. We then bring the theater to your place of work at a time that is convenient for your employees and/or consumers.

Your organization benefits by watching MSIIT act out compelling scenarios to a crisis point, setting the stage for meaningful discussion and learning -- resulting in improved understanding and handling of these situations in the future.

“Yesterday I had the pleasure of participating in one of your interactive improvisational theater presentations here at The Jackson Laboratory. It was exceptional, and the best harassment training session I have been to in over 25 years of attending mandatory training sessions.”
